“I always ask why and encourage those around me to do the same”
With over 20 years experience in business development the key to identifying what is needed to make things work is to understand why things are run in a certain manner. As CEO of a successful armored international courier company, focused on procurement and logistic applications, Licia encouraged her team to think freely, to rework a problem, and to find the most comprehensive solution possible. This approach was applied in all of her collaborative endeavors as she guided companies to encompass growth and change through education, innovation and automation. Most recently she partnered with Malca Amit to launch their presence in Italy.
Today, Licia is founder of the nascent Y-ideas whose focus is to guide companies to Rethink, Renew and Refocus in order to meet the challenge of the future: to become sustainable in all aspects, commercially and ecologically.
As early as 2001, Licia began analyzing challenges faced by the Logistics Industry. Only after her return to the United States in 2011, after two years abroad, did the need to meet these challenges come to the forefront. In collaboration with Sustainability Matters, Licia’s goal is to teach our Supply Chain providers to Go Green. It is a daunting task, but one that needs attention and implementation. With her experience in compliance, risk assessment, employee training, IT deployment and integration of the same, as well as the expertise that Sustainability Matters and Kristen Victor bring to the table, the project is poised for success.
“I value my family, friends, and most importantly, the children of the world whose future we need to preserve.”

MENTOR/INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
Sustainability Matters® views future generations as the critical component to successfully sustaining our world. As part of our commitment to the sustainable movement, we have created programs to engage our youth and share with them our community at Sustainability Matters®. For growth and maximum impact, we share and encourage our business relationships to engage as well.
Our mentoring program focuses on local high school students, designed to provide “at risk” youth exposure to sustainability and an avenue through which they can develop business skills. Currently this program is supporting our Social Media weekly updates.
Our internship program reaches out to local college students who are interested in sustainability as a career. We provide an opportunity to gain a perspective and understanding of the opportunities within the sustainable business world by exposing them to such areas involving research, information storage systems and client development.
